Parking for Bear Pause is just in front.  A very short walk and 4 steps take you to a beautiful rocking chair front porch.  The Cottage features a lovely large open plan living area, complete with dining, kitchen, living room and a wall of windows --perfect for taking in the views of nature.  The dining area seats 6-7, with additional seating for 2 at the kitchen bar.   The kitchen is well-equipped for creating a delicious meal, and opens to the living space- allowing chefs to be part of the fun and enjoy views of nature.  The living room boasts a wood fireplace and large flat-screen TV,  perfect for game night or a good book.  The main floor has a beautiful screened porch, and large deck with a dining table and chairs for outdoor eating  (with a large propane gas grill).  Note: this home has both- a Keurig coffee maker and a drip coffee maker.  The primary suite is located upstairs and is an inviting retreat, offering tree top views, space, privacy, charm and an attached bathroom (and even views of Lake Sconti and the Clubhouse from that closet). (king).  The beautiful lower level bedrooms (2nd: queen and 3rd: queen and twin) share a full jack and jill bath which lies between. The adjacent large screened deck has a quiet space for relaxation and a ping pong table.  The Cottage is close to the amenities, with views of nature, in the sought after neighborhood of Laurel Ridge.

Elk Horn is a premier luxury four-bedroom cottage in the new Choctaw Village area near the Club House with walking trails easily accessible throughout the area managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia. Tremendous attention to detail with everything from the 200-year-old heart of pine floors to quality furnishings.

The main floor has an open kitchen, great room, and large dining room with gas fireplace, HD Flat Screen TV, half bath, master bedroom with king bed, HD flat screen TV, and a large master bath with a walk-in shower and separate tub. 
A deck off the main floor has a propane gas fireplace for you to enjoy! Upstairs has a king bed bedroom with a bathroom with tub and separate walk-in shower and an office in the loft. With gorgeous wooded views to the back, the open plan living space features a cozy stacked stone wood burning fireplace and options to sit, eat, cook or watch TV surrounded by nature. The eating area and the open furnished kitchen seats 4-6 at the table, 2 at one bar, and 3 at the second bar.  The primary bedroom is on the main level (king bed and TV).  The master bath has a large shower and tub.  Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each) with a Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower and tub combination and two vanities. Our backyard is fenced for dogs, but it is possible that tree branches or limbs that fall could create holes in the fence.  Renters with dogs should inspect the perimeter of the fence before they let their dogs out unsupervised.  Also, please keep dogs on the main level where there is no carpeting rather than free roaming upstairs or downstairs where there is carpet.  The owners' son is highly allergic to pet dander that gets stuck in carpet fibers.  This is a suggestion, not a restriction.

Upstairs has a two twin bed bedroom and a queen bed bedroom, a large jack and jill bath, and a loft area with a TV great for kids. LOCATION, LOCATION!!  This beautiful craftsman cottage provides the perfect mountain Getaway.  The Lodge is a beautiful, well-maintained home in the community of Big Canoe.  It is ideally located close to amenities and is family-friendly.  It is also perfect for a couples weekend or for groups.  This gem is an ideal base camp for mountain fun. The Getaway is close to Big Canoe amenities, Lakes, Restaurants, Golf, Tennis, Ball Field, and the Chapel, and walking distance-to Lake Disharoon, the Swim Club, Beach, Rock Slide, Fitness Centers, and Hiking Trails.  If you are in the mood to hike, you are in luck- one beautiful trail runs just behind!

McDowell Hideaway is located near the north gate, a short walk or drive to the Wildcat pool, and the Wildcat trail secluded at the end of Yanoo Trace cul de sac with plenty of parking.  This five-bedroom three bath mountain home has plenty of space to spread out with an upstairs great room and a huge downstairs recreation room.  It also has a fantastic conference room with a conference table that seats 8-10 downstairs.  You will feel truly at home and at peace for your quiet getaway to Big Canoe!

The front entrance opens to a great room with flat-screen TV (with HMDI cord) and gas fireplace, a fully furnished kitchen, and a dining room that seats 6-8 people.  This main floor has three bedrooms; the master with a queen bed and bathroom with a walk-in shower and a tub, and two guest bedrooms one with a queen bed and one with a full bed that shares a bath with a tub /shower.  There is a screened-in porch with new furniture and large deck with new patio dining furniture off the great room and a new propane gas grill. Downstairs has a large recreation room with flat-screen Smart TV, gas fireplace, game table, and two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds that share a remodeled bath with a walk-in shower.  There is also a conference room that seats 8-10 at a beautiful antique conference table. The home provides a perfect getaway for a large family, group, or business meeting. The new landscaping really sets our house apart from a wonderful mountain escape. The owner has allergies so no pets are allowed.

Paradise View is located in the Laurel Ridge area within walking distance of the Chapel, tennis facility, fitness center, swimming lake, beach, and natural water slide managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia. You will feel truly at home and at peace for your quiet getaway to Big Canoe!

Our cottage has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths with a large playroom downstairs.  The main floor has a queen master bedroom with a private bath, and great room with a fireplace that opens to the eating area, and a fully furnished kitchen.  We supply everything that you should need from linens, towels, and paper products like toilet paper, to washing machine detergent.  We have two decks and a large screened porch for fabulous views of the mountains and Lake Disharoon.  Two bedrooms downstairs, one with two twin beds and one with a queen bed sharing a jack and jill bathroom, and an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom and a loft area office equipped with a Wi-Fi internet connection.  Relax in a huge swing on the lower deck with a view out at the lake.

Sharptop is a 4 bed, 3 1/2 bath luxury cottage located at the top of Laurel Ridge across the street from the Big Canoe Chapel and tennis courts, and a short drive or walk to the Swim Club pool and beach, swimming lake, Fitness Center, and water slides.  We are a five-minute drive from the Big Canoe Golf Club and Black Bear Pub.  We feature a hot tub, game table, Keurig coffee maker, and a ping pong table with two king bed bedrooms, two queen bedrooms, and two twin beds in the loft.  We also have a fantastic mountain view for wonderful sunrises.  You will feel truly at home and at peace for your quiet getaway to Big Canoe! 

The front door opens to a great room and dining room that seats eight people. The great room has a wood fireplace, flat-screen TV, and plenty of seating.  The fully furnished kitchen should have everything that you should need for cooking including a microwave, oven, stove, large refrigerator, crockpot, regular coffee pot, blender, and mixer. The master bedroom is on this main floor with a king bed and flat-screen TV.  The master bath has a large Jacuzzi tub and shower combination with grab bars for safety. Southern View is a sprawling mountain house located on top of Big Canoe with forever southern views. It is a twenty-minute ride up to the house well worth the beautiful drive. You will feel truly at home and at peace for your quiet getaway to Big Canoe!

The main level houses the kitchen, great room, huge deck with remote-control overhead sunscreen, TV room, and a king-size master suite with a full bath and double vanities. The main living area and screened-in porch feature a Bluetooth built-in sound system and 65" TV and DVD player.  Additionally, the lower floor offers a gaming and private TV area.  There are plenty of choices for your group to relax and unwind.  Lake Petit is a short walk down the road and the perfect place to watch the sunset! A 15 minute drive through the park-like setting of Big Canoe to the top of Sanderlin Mountain rewards you with our private paradise. Drive onto a flat driveway with one step entry to the main level of our home. Enter the rustic foyer with a large antler chandelier to be greeted by two bear cubs in the trees of Big Canoe. The owner is a professional photographer, and the home is filled with images of wildlife in Big Canoe. The open concept kitchen, family room and breakfast room are surrounded by windows viewing the mountain range and mature forest. You will see Amicalola Falls and Lodge on the top of the mountain ridge. The family room has a vaulted ceiling and large TV over a rustic stone fireplace which is decorative only. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make a wonderful meal or grill on the large main level deck. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, king bed and recently updated bathroom with 2 sinks and shower. On a clear morning, view gorgeous sunrises over the mountains from your bed. The master closet is locked for the owners, but there is a dresser and armoire for your belongings. Feel like you have entered the forest in another main level bedroom which is surrounded with huge windows that view the mountains and woods. This bedroom has a queen bed, en suite bath with tub/shower and private balcony viewing the mountains. The laundry room and the half bath are on the main level. Play family games or watch your favorite movie on the large TV in the terrace level den. The fireplace in the den is decorative only. The cardinal room has a queen bed with windows that view the forest. The bear room has a full size bed. The bathroom has recently been updated and has tub/shower and sink in one room and toilet and sink in a separate room. Relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the hot tub on the terrace level deck, but do not forget to look into the woods. You may be lucky enough to spot a turkey, deer or even a bear.

MHR Enchanted Mountain Hideaway

We loved our stay here. We stayed here for our daughter&rsquo;s wedding and it was the perfect location for us as she got married at the Tate house. Plenty of room. Several of our guest stayed at different homes in Big canoe and just fell in love with this one. My family already wants to rebook for next year. We didn&rsquo;t get to enjoy any of the amenities Big canoe had to offer but from what we could tell it&rsquo;s absolutely beautiful. Can&rsquo;t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time, this place is absolutely beautiful and everyone there kept saying how nice it was and that it was a great choice. The master bathroom is awesome, very spacious with dual shower heads. The beds were comfortable and the views were gorgeous. Loved it!!

The home was beautiful, spacious and we loved that it was at the end of the neighborhood and right next to all the walking trails. We had a large family event and it was perfect for all our family members!

The Cottage features a lovely large open plan living area, complete with dining, kitchen, living room and a wall of windows --perfect for taking in the views of nature.  The dining area seats 6-7, with additional seating for 2 at the kitchen bar.   The kitchen is well-equipped for creating a delicious meal, and opens to the living space- allowing chefs to be part of the fun and enjoy views of nature.  The living room boasts a wood fireplace and large flat-screen TV,  perfect for game night or a good book.  The main floor has a beautiful screened porch, and large deck with a dining table and chairs for outdoor eating  (with a large propane gas grill).  Note: this home has both- a Keurig coffee maker and a drip coffee maker.  The primary suite is located upstairs and is an inviting retreat, offering tree top views, space, privacy, charm and an attached bathroom (and even views of Lake Sconti and the Clubhouse from that closet). Elk Horn is a premier luxury four-bedroom cottage in the new Choctaw Village area near the Club House with walking trails easily accessible throughout the area managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia. Tremendous attention to detail with everything from the 200-year-old heart of pine floors to quality furnishings.

The main floor has an open kitchen, great room, and large dining room with gas fireplace, HD Flat Screen TV, half bath, master bedroom with king bed, HD flat screen TV, and a large master bath with a walk-in shower and separate tub. 
A deck off the main floor has a propane gas fireplace for you to enjoy! Upstairs has a king bed bedroom with a bathroom with tub and separate walk-in shower and an office in the loft. Downstairs has a queen bedroom and bunk bed bedroom (one twin and one double), each with its own bathroom, rec room with gas fireplace, an HD flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, and wine cooler. There is a futon for extra sleeping accommodations.

THE AREA:
Big Canoe is an 8,000-acre wildlife gated community in the hardwood forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Atlanta. There is a stock with a trout fishing lake, marina, and rental boats available. Big Canoe has over twenty-four miles of maintained hiking trails and plenty of wildlife including deer, black bears, and turkey. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I\'m sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the unit or the complex itself. OCCUPANCY:
This unit allows 10 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 10 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.

RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:
We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor &amp;amp; outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis &amp;amp; pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, dog park, beach, water slide.

PARKING:
The driveway can accommodate four cars so we recommend that any additional cars park in the lower Chapel parking lot. We are located in a cluster home community so the houses are close together. 

PET FEE:  
$100/per, 2 dog max, 45 lb. limit.

COFFEEMAKERS:  
Keurig and drip coffeemakers.

FIREPLACE: 
This home has a gas fireplace controlled by a knob, see Guestbook for instructions (in the main living area).  There is a second fireplace on the screened porch off the primary suite.  The fireplace in the lower living area is decorative only.

GATHERINGS:
We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict"No Party" policy.

QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.

SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your apartment during your reservation period.

MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 30 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 30 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.

SECURITY:
This home only has outward facing security cameras. There are no cameras inside the home.
